Welcome to your Bali Retreat!
Hey Fam!
We are thrilled to welcome you to the upcoming Fitness Retreat in Bali, Indonesia, happening this March! We can't wait to embark on this incredible wellness journey with you. To ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience, we want to provide you with some essential information and tips to prepare for your adventure.
Travel Insurance:
Before you embark on your journey to Bali, you MUST have travel insurance. This will provide you with financial protection and peace of mind in case of unforeseen events like trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. Make sure your insurance covers international travel and has adequate health coverage.
Visa on Arrival:
For most nationalities, Indonesia offers a visa-on-arrival (VOA) system that allows you to stay in the country for 30 days. This is usually extendable for an additional 30 days if needed. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date, and have a return ticket ready for presentation upon arrival. The VOA costs approximately $35 USD, so make sure to have cash on hand for this.
Currency and Cash:
The currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). While credit cards are widely accepted in tourist areas, it's a good idea to have some cash for small expenses, markets, and local shops. You can exchange money at the airport or withdraw IDR from ATMs, which are readily available. Inform your bank about your travel plans to avoid any issues with your cards while abroad.
Clothing and Equipment:
Bali has a tropical climate, so pack lightweight and breathable clothing. Don't forget workout gear for our fitness sessions! While the weather in March is generally warm and humid, there may be occasional rain showers. In terms of boxing gear, all equipment you would need to train with is readily available at the gym we will be training at. Soma fight club provide rental boxing gloves for $4USD per session as well as rental towels and handwraps. So if you don't want to pack your boxing gear from your home town, you can always save space on luggage by renting the equipment at the gym. We suggest bringing a pair of boxing boots and running shoes.
If you are interested in participating i sparring drills then you will need to bring a mouthguard, headguard and 16oz gloves.
Itinerary and Activities:
Stay tuned for your detailed itinerary, which will include information about our daily fitness sessions, excursions, and mealtimes. We've planned an exciting program that combines workouts, relaxation, and exploration to make your retreat unforgettable.
Sim Card
We highly suggest buying a simcard at the airport upon arrival. If you want to use an Indonesian simcard for your trip, the providers at the airport install and update your simcard from your phone for you. It might cost about $20 USD for the weeks stay to cover your simcard needs. We will usually be contacting everyone through either IG messenger or whatsapp.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our dedicated support team at [email protected]. We are here to us via email or IG messenger, we hope to make your experience in Bali as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
